Celebrating Spring, sunshine, Mother’s Day and the Easter holidays. Join us at our Tower Bridge store for some early evening enjoyment 5-8pm on Wednesday 30th March. Refreshments, promotions, and a raffle with prizes from Radley and Simon Carter.

Here on the Hide All blog we are celebrating all things 21…
We are currently playing Adele’s ‘21′ in our stores - how much do we love this album? Fantastic performance at the Brit Awards too.

Vintage Books celebrates 21 years of publishing this month. Riverside Books at London Bridge has a great window display at the moment which includes Pauline’s current read ‘The Hare with Amber Eyes‘ by Edmund de Waal.

It’s World Poetry Day on 21st March. We will be celebrating by re-reading some of our favourites; Pauline loves ‘The Birthday Letters’ by Ted Hughes, Louise likes the war poetry of Siegfried Sassoon and Thomas Hardy and Rachel enjoys the work of Carol Ann Duffy.

We’ve all really enjoyed following London Fashion Week here at Hide All. Loved being able to get online catwalk shows within hours of the event. Here’s some of our favourites from the Vivienne Westwood’s A/W Red label collection…

Looking forward to the Oscar’s on Sunday - what will Helena Bonham Carter be wearing? We love her style and we loved her in The King’s Speech. Good luck Colin, second year following hopefully! (And third time in a row on the blog!).

…to all our customers, colleagues, friends and associates. We don’t do resolutions here at Hide All! So instead we have for you ‘Reasons to be Cheerful’ week one 2011!
1. The Ashes - Whilst us girls have had a week of catching up, the boys have been burning the midnight oil and just loved all the action down under. Well done Capt’n Strauss and all those lovely bowlers, with fantastic support from the Barmy Army as always!

2. Stargazing Live - We seem to be turning scientific this year - aren’t Brian Cox and Dara O’Briain just the best? Never thought we’d be hooked, but the starry nights are just beautiful.

3. Sale Shoes from Bullfrogs - Pauline loves her Camper ankle boots - our friends, collegaues and fellow Charlton supporters at Bullfrogs always manage to hit the footwear spot! Who remembers when Dave Berry worked in Bullfrogs Greenwich? A SE London boy who’s done oh so well.

4. Andrew’s New Single - Our weekender and Greenwich University student, Andrew, has released a new single ‘Significant Other’ with his band Ideals. We’re very proud of our colleague’s musical achievement and success. He’s now on tour as well as going to uni and working at Hide All! A little rock and roll on a dreary January day - there’s nothing better.

5. Late Nights at Tower Bridge - We were open late on the 5th January and will be open every Wednesday until 7.30pm. Thanks to all of you who popped in last week - it’s proving to be a great idea!
Hope you all enjoy the Opening Evening at Shad Thames tonight. We are loving the melamine cups from Rice. Bought from Ottie and Bea - just the best new shop in South East London! The reindeer heads are in papier mache and look just stunning - Father Christmas please!

Due to the snowy weather, we’ve rescheduled our Open Evening in Shad Thames for 8th December. Join us between 5 and 8pm for some David Bowie, Bryan Ferry, Jackson 5, cheesy puffs, Riesling wine and more!

Christmas gift ideas galore, with us all to help you. Special promotions include…

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich is a fantastic day out - summer or winter, it’s both educational and great fun! Plus their annual Astronomy Photographer of the Year exhibition is now open.

We love this year’s winning photo by Tom Lowe.
It’s that time of year again! No appointments needed; all customers invited. All staff will be on hand for your assistance and refreshments will be available. School uniform not required…

In all seriousness, we hope that you’ll be able to join us on December 1st between 5-8pm for seasonal festivities and fun.
Mick’s been watching the DVD adaptations, Oliver Twist finished this week, Nicholas Nickleby next! Rachel’s just finished David Copperfield and Pauline and family visited the Charles Dickens museum in Bloomsbury last weekend as part of the very successful Bloomsbury Festival.

What amazes us is that his characters and descriptions are as much a part of London today as they were part of his novels. He certainly worked hard and played hard! And what a legacy.
