Deepa Chudasama

Deepa Chudasama has been a friend of Hide All for a long time, so it’s been fantastic to watch her develop into the accomplished artist she is… so we had to take advantage of our blog and write about her!

Conceptual themes such as science as well as Deepa’s Indian heritage  run through her work. A reference to human and plant cell formation is incorporated with the use intricate ‘dots’ amongst the bright ink prints, allowing the pieces of work to grow as organically as the cells they are based on.

The final outcome are these incredibly beautiful pieces that are full of life and energy.

Deepa currently has an art installation at the Greenwich Picture House for the Bombay Mix Summer Festival which celebrates 60 years of Indian independence. This is a great opportunity to see how Deepa’s art and her bindi drawing can affect different spaces and environments.
