Which is yours?

Sophie (working in Hide All Greenwich most Saturdays) is off to Glastonbury - well done on finishing your AS-Levels!

No-one here at Hide All has Wimbledon tickets but oh we do love this fortnight! And what a game last night… Good luck Isner and Mahut! The question is; do you have any legs left for today?

Our town centre manager in Greenwich, Emma, is getting married on Saturday. Lots and lots of love and best wishes on your special day! We will all be there and look forward to celebrating with you.

As for the football, roll on Sunday! Remember boys, it’s Germany - no penalty shoot-outs please.

Hide All Joins the Eden Project

eden-project.jpg

Just like to share our love of yet another wonderful place, the Eden Project in Cornwall - a great day out; inspirational and fun. This summer they have Paolo Nutini and Martha Wainwright in concert there - all of us  at Hide All just want to  be there but only Nick is going.

Yes it’s true - Nick has left. Help. He is Mr Hide All Tower Bridge. Seriously, this is a blog entry dedicated to our much loved and missed no.1 photographer, footballer and lover of all things fashionable. He is off to join Lucy in Falmouth and in the process has landed a cool job at the Eden Project. They have snatched him up and congratulations to Nick. We know you will be very successful and happy and tanned and oh all those cream teas. Keep up with the football!

Charlton at the World Cup

Friday, June 18th, 2010

Said Pauline to Mick last Friday night, “Are there any Charlton players here at the World Cup 2010?”.

“Oh no!” replied Mick.

“That must say something” thought Pauline. But… there are!

And what a week we Charlton fans working at Hide All have had. Up to 7 players (thinks Mick, or 6 for Pauline and Nick!). The highlight being the Denmark game last Monday - what a surprise. Answers at the end of this blog…

And… Charlton community scheme was discussed extensively on BBC Radio 5 Live this morning, the template for Ajax Cape Town community scheme - how proud we are! Well done Jason Morgan.

And a mention here of Sean Bartlett and Mark Fish, Charlton’s Premiership South African players! Fondly remembered.

Here are the the answers to the Charlton players (past and sadly not present) now at the 2010 World Cup…

Nigeria - Danny Shittu

USA - Jonathan Spector

Algeria - Madjd Bougherra

Denmark - Stephan Anderson and Dennis Rommedahl

Cameroon - Alex Song

England - Jermain Defoe (not included in Pauline and Nick’s list!)

 Good luck to England tonight!

Further tales from the Far West! Tate St Ives exhibition - Lily’s work is always such a high standard. Fresh, vibrant and so good!

Born in 1954, Lily van der Stokker is a Dutch artist currently based in Amsterdam and New York. Often taking the form of wall drawings, her pieces deal with ideas of beauty, love, relationships, family and the everyday. This exhibition, ‘No Big Deal Thing’, will be the largest exhibition of her work to date in the UK.

So girls, if you want some inspiration, direction and fun head down West - Sex and the City comes a very sorry second!
