There was a time when Hide All could pop into the local independent record shop and pick up an array of exciting new releases, advised by enthusiastic staff members (including Jamie Reynolds of Klaxons fame!).
So, in search of good music for the store, Hide All’s Pauline made her first trip to Rough Trade Records in Brick Lane.

Saturday’s choice includes new releases from…
The Young Republic, a Tennessee-based classically trained six piece, whose previous album ‘12 Tales From Winter City’ (2007) was a firm favourite in our shops.
The Unthanks, a Geordie outfit who received a Mercury Prize nomination for their 2007 album ‘The Bairns’. We like a bit of folk!
Leonard Cohen’s unforgettable live performance at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival.
And a Dylan number… Christmas is coming!
Celebrate the 31st October with gothic Simon Carter cufflinks…

Cute cards from Hello Lucky and Nouvelle Images….
And for those who like a witches brew as much as we do, try some tea set jewellery, served in a box with a teabag, by London designer Louise Buchan…

We at Hide All (well, not everyone!) are big Charlton FC supporters and season ticket holders - so far so good for our team! It’s been a great season in terms of enjoyment, with the club regrouping and building for the future. Whoopee!

So as big sports fans, we’re also hugely excited for the Olympics to arrive in London. Mr. Hide All, Mick, has given his view on the event and how it will affect local businesses - including ourselves - in Greenwich Time magazine. Not long to wait til 2012!
Continuing our sports-themed entry, we can’t forget to mention Hide All’s own sports star, ’six-goals’ Nick, who was Player of the Year for HeFC and will hopefully be achieving the same title again this year (but in a higher division!) HeFC play every Saturday in the Bromley and Croydon Division 2. How many goals have you scored this season Nick?

We love Barbara’s work here at Hide All and as South East London businesses we both go back some years!
Barbara’s work with leather always features stimulating, contemporary design, bringing out the best in the material and satisfying the essence of practicality and style.

A selection of Barbara Wiggins‘ beautiful diaries for 2010.
We at Hide All sold our very first Hidesign briefcase in February 1986 and, over two decades later, we’re still in love with their stylish and practical designs.

The Blake workbag features a double gusset for added capacity.

The Appleton Despatch bag is laptop friendly and a more casual version of the classic briefcase.

This Ferdinand briefcase is available in black and tan.
Demonstrating Hidesign’s fusion of ‘timeless classics and contemporary designs’, these business bags are ideal for both the style-conscious and practical-minded.
Despite darkening days and dull weather, there’s always sunshine here in Shad Thames with Igloo’s vibrant flower displays.
Selling lillies, gerbera and other favourites alongside rainbow-inked roses, bright sunflowers and seasonal pumpkins, the florist offers a splash of colour to our street.
