Music has always been a huge part of life at Hide All…we are constantly listening and reading about new acts. So it’s been incredible following the rise of local boy Jack Penate who used to accompany the Hide All family to Charlton football matches when he was young!
His second album ‘Everything is New’ is a total reinvention from his first record ‘Matinee.’ There are many musical influences, from Latino rhythms, African beats to Smiths inspired vocals. It truly is a fantastic second album that is mature, cohesive and defiantly pop. This album is upbeat and shows all those critics that Jack is here to stay. This will definitely be on our soundtrack this summer.

‘Create’ is a fantastic 10 day festival celebrating the best of arts, music, drama and dance in Greenwich. So many great events are taking place daily with local businesses, the university, museums and schools all getting involved.
There is such a great atmosphere in Greenwich because of this festival, so we really do suggest that you visit and enjoy the offerings. There are amazing performances happening at the Laban Theatre as well as classical concerts, tours and local history work shops taking place at the Old Royal Naval College and other venues.
The Greenwich Printmakers are a group of artists who are diverse and a huge part of the Greenwich art scene. As part of the Create festival, local businesses have been asked to display artwork from the printmakers. This curious looking cow is by the artist Philip Solly. Pauline and Mick aka Mr and Mrs Hide All, have donated this piece to sit in the window of our Greenwich store!
Hello Lucky is the best thing that has come out of San Francisco since all the love in 1967. They are masters of handmade letter press greeting cards and stationary. The Hello Lucky team are bursting with creativity and love all things stylish and handmade. Also, we are huge fans of their blog…full of inspiring things from arts and crafts to cakes!

Ah, it’s that time of year again…always exciting, not for the horses, but for the hats. Yes, Ascot is coming up…so we thought we would help and find some fantastic head gear. We love the designer William Chambers. Very pretty and very inspiring.

Perhaps Ascot Dress-code officials might have something to say about these somewhat over the top head pieces…but they are really incredible. The designer is J Smith Esquire. Weird and wonderful…British design at its best.

At Hide All, we have been listening to Patrick Watson’s album ‘Close to Paradise’ since discovering him at Glastonbury last summer. Last week, a couple of us were lucky enough to see this incredible band at the Union Chapel in Highbury & Islington.
Cabaret pop mixed with classical music, this Canadian four-piece have an ingenious approach to creating beautiful orchestrations, with a backdrop of percussive rhythms and Patrick’s ethereal voice. The band had every single audience member, stained glass window and pew entranced by this gloriously intimate gig.
The Union Chapel with it’s fusion of atmosphere, creativity and high Gothic surroundings was the ideal venue for such musicianship. Spontaneity and experimentation is what this band seems to be about…and we loved every moment. The new album ‘Wooden Arms,’ with its haunting melodies and over powering instrumentation was magical to watch live…everyone should know about this band.
